Potato Soup

Misc.

My first room mate's mother had a similar recipe: She would take a pot and fill it half full of potatoes, then slice onion to fill the remaining third and slice celery to top it off. After doing that she would sprinkle Spike or Lawry's seasoning salt over the entire top. The potatoes were cooked until soft. Mashed slightly or whipped like crazy (depending on your mood)with milk or cream and a dollop of butter. She then served it with crisp bacon crumbles and cheddar cheese. YOU ARE RIGHT-- a soup to die for! I will be trying your version on my husband as he loves potato soup! Thanks for sharing.
