re: buttermilk substitute

This is in responce to a woman named Susan about making buttermilk.
You stated that using vineager to milk or lemon juice to milk.
To make buttermilk it's ONLY lemon juice that is added. NOT vinegar.
If you add vineager your going to have SOUR milk, not buttermilk. So please people do NOT use vineager to make buttermilk. Please only use Lemon Juice.
To make substitute buttermilk recipe you use:1-1/2 tablespoons lemon juice and enough whole milk to make 1-1/2 cups. I also add 1/2 teaspoon butter extract if I feel I want a more butter flavor to the milk. Let stand about 5 minutes before use.
Do not use vineager to to make buttermilk, that is so wrong...
