Recipe: Thousand Island Dressing (Oster blender recipe, 1950's)

THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING

1 (1-inch) square green bell pepper
8 stuffed olives
2 teaspoons cut chives
1/2 clove garlic
1 cup mayonnaise
2 hard cooked eggs, quartered
1/4 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons dill pickle slices
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 sprig parsley

Put the green pepper, olives, chives, garlic and mayonnaise in the blender container. Cover, and run at Lo speed until the olives are chopped and the ingredients are well blended. Use a rubber spatula to push the ingredients down to the processing blades whenever necessary.

Add remaining ingredients and process at Hi speed until coarsely chopped. Chill before serving on lettuce wedges or vegetable combinations.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups
