re: Clear Jel

Misc.
Clear Jel is a modified food starch, corn based, for thickening pie fillings. It is purchased most often online, but Amish food stores, a few county extension offices, and a few cake decor stores sell it. Also, at some Wilco stores they sell it.
Sure Jell is pectin and only for jams and jellies.
They are not the same.
