re: How to Make Chocolate from Cocoa Beans

Misc.
Chocolate is made from Cocoa beans that have been very carefully roasted, then husked to produce 'nibs' & then they use huge machines that extract the chocolate 'liquor' (a long, slow process), which is the purest form of chocolate. The 'liquor' is then mixed with other ingredients depending on how the manufacturer desires his chocolate to taste like.
Without the very expensive machines it is not possible to make your own chocolate at home from the raw cocoa beans.
It is a very exacting process!
