Re: ISO.. Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

Misc.
Here's one easy and delicious
Bread pudding
1 1/2 pounds bread (I use sandwich bread with the crust removed)
2 lt milk
8 tablespoons butter (the real thing), melted
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
4 eggs (large)
2 ounces raisins*
4 oz almonds (chopped)
cinnamon
-soak bread on milk until it softens
-add salt, sugar, melted butter, vanilla
raisins, almonds and cinnamon, mix well
-broke the eggs (without beating) and add
-pour in a 13 x 9 greased pan
-bake at 375 for 1 1/2 hour
*you can mix golden with dark, sometimes I
soak them in rum for about 10 minutes before adding (MMMMMM!!)
