re: Mermaid Cake - I'll take a shot at it.

Hi Shelley,

I'm guessing it is the design you are looking for and not a cake recipe.

Let's see out of two round cakes...I would take one and cut an elongated triangle. Picture the cake cut on the diagonal. Now on the bottom half UNDER the line you want to make that wider at the top and narrower on the bottom.

Try to picture leaving the top half in such a way that you can make a short, fat, slightly flattened triangle out of it so that you can use that part as the tail. Picture the very end of a whale's tail.
