Re: Request comical recipe ideas for 40th party

We had a 50th birthday party for a friend in
which all the guests wore black (one guest had
a pill box veiled hat on!) or black arm bands.
His wife had purchased some coffins at a
party store - small ones for nuts and such,
larger ones to serve rolls and side dishes in.
My contribution to the party:
I decorted a styrofoam wreath covered with
parsley and decorated it with black
ribbon, lilies, and an "over the hill" sign
and put it on a platter. I then put appetizers
like shrimps and cubed cheeses, salami, ham,
etc. onto toothpicks and stuck them into the
wreath. I placed the bowl with dips/sauces
in the center of the wreath.
