re: Substituting smoked kielbasa for fresh

Hi Rick,

I'm not sure exactly which recipe you're asking about, but, in general, since smoked kielbasa basically just needs to be heated, I would add it about halfway into the cooking time in a recipe calling for fresh kielbasa. In some dishes it may not matter if you put it in for the full time (for instance, if the meat it buried in sauerkraut). And in some recipes the cooking time for all the ingredients may be shortened with good results - it will take some experimenting.
