rule of thumb for pasta

Misc.
Hi Ellie, when using ANY pasta it's best to remember that a good pasta dish is a SMALL serving each and some for those requesting "seconds". With that in mind, one pound of pasta is for 3 to 4 people. Then again, when making manicotti, 3 manicotti are usually sufficient per person as they are quite filling. Rigatoni are slightly larger than penne, so a box would be for 3 people. I'd like to see what you were making...... rigatoni and sauce?
Hope this helps
