Misc.

We've been taking RV trips for years and just recently got a brand new 22 ft
trailer. One reason I wanted a new trailer was to have a larger frigerator and
freezer. Keep everything simple and use packaged and canned goods a lot. I
will make up small meals which I put in foil containers and freeze, such as
casseroles and lasagne. I will just make a larger portion of what I make at
home and freeze extra in the foil containers. Are you going out in the boonies
or will you be near grocery stores? That would make a difference on what you
take along and water usage.

We also go on hunting trips with 3 other couples in the mountains away from
civilization and we have to plan very carefully. We are each responsible for so
many dinners and brunches which we eat together. A lot of fun and we eat VERY
well. I always look for recipes that don't use a lot of dishes (we have to be
careful of water), that are hearty and good. I will make some of them up at
home and freeze before we leave. If I make soups or stews I will freeze them in
1/2 gallon milk cartons which can be burned after use in the camp fire. If I am
going to make a pie for dessert I use the Pillsbury crusts. If I am going to
make a recipe from scratch I will package up the dry ingredients in small zip
locks in the portions to be used and take along. You can also barbecue a lot if
the weather is nice. Steaks, hamburgers and hotdogs. You can also do potatoes
and vegies in foil packets.

Here are a couple of web sites that might help you. www.rvusa.com and
http://sauron.tl.com/scripts/webx.exe? The last one is a place where you can
ask questions and is one you have to sign on to.
