This venison stew brings back fond.....

memories, Deb. My mother's brothers were all hunters. My daddy never even went hunting. Whenever my uncles would kill a deer, they would always bring some over to my mama to cook.

She browned her venison and served it smothered with gravy. We would have rice and hot biscuits with it. I can almost taste it now.

Thanks for reminding me of that wonderful time in my life when Mama was still cooking for me!
