The roadhouse sears and grills all steaks the same. Steaks are seasoned with a proprietary blend of seasonings (never heard of searing powder), then they are seared for one minute on each side on a flat-top grill using melted margarine, then the steaks are grilled to temperature requested over a gas broiler. The steaks are brushed with melted margarine before being served. No sauces or marinades are applied to steaks, however the prime rib (which is a roast, not a steak) gets drizzled with au jus before serving.
