Water temp. for yeast...
Misc. Hi Shar,
You can use an instant-read thermometer to check water temperature - they're very handy, but if you don't want to invest in one, basically the water should be lukewarm - not so hot that your finger can't hold your finger in it comfortably. You need to be more concerned about the water being too hot and killing the yeast than not hot enough. When the bread machine delay start is used the water is room temp by the time the machine starts mixing (I believe many machines warm the ingredients when they're ready to start mixing).
