What is it!!? Flora delle Alpi - Cristallizzata Cordial

My husband was helping set-up our clubhouse's annual rummage sale - someone had donated a very unual old bottle of some kind of cordial and since we can't sell liquor without a license, it went up for grabs to the workers - no one else seemed to want it, so he brought it home.

It is a very tall thin bottle with a natural cork and had never had the seal broken - although the bottle appears to be quite old. It also has some type of heavy branches or vines in the bottle.

The label says Martini & Rossi - Torino, Product of Italy, and the type of liquor is Flora delle Alpi - Cristallizzata Cordial and it's 112 Proof!!

He opened it tonight, and it's amazing - the alcohol content is so high that it evaporates on your lips and tongue - and the flavor is unrecognizable to us, but wonderful. The label has several pictures of flowers -- some red, some white, with the Alps in the background.

If anyone could tell us what we're drinking (hopefully it's not poison!!) we'd love to know what it is. This is not a toss-down drink - it's tiny, tiny sips.
