Wow, the bottle you describe is exactly what I have.. It was given to my father by a friend who was cleaning out a deceased family members liquor cabinet...

I'm hesitant to open the bottle.

I have no date on mine as well, but I do have a number from the U.S. Department of Revenue... I wonder if that will help with anything?
