You can 'roast' in your microwave ..

Cut the 'x' in them and place on plate - single layer - we do about 6 to 12 at a time. Micro (high-100%) for about 3 - 8 minutes. Depends on the type I guess. I've never soaked in water .... but i just buy Italian ones at market. Then peel and eat ... or use however you wish.

You can also - cut the 'x' and place in a popcorn basket over your fireplace - and shake .... yummy.
