Recipe(tried): Italian wedding cookies

Hi Debby, I have a cake like cookie recipe which takes ricotta cheese, I Hope this is what you need.
Italian wedding cookies
1/2 Lb. butter
2 cups sugar
1 lb. ricotta cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
Cream together butter, sugar, cheese and eggs, then add remaining ingredients and drop by tsp. or make small balls on cookie sheet, bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.

Frost with cream cheese or Butter icing.

8 oz. cream cheese
3 cups confectionery sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
or mix together
1 lb. confectionary sugar
2 Tbls. butter
1/4 cup milk
and a pinch of salt
