Recipe(tried): Maybe a food processor or stand mixer would better meet your needs.

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
You can get a Sunbeam 5891 2-Pound Programmable Breadmaker for about $ 60. It has separate DOUGH and MANUAL BAKE cycles. I have had one for about 6 months and I'm quite pleased with it. Before that I had a Welbilt Y2K1 for about 10 years.

If you are not going to use the BAKE cycle, but just the DOUGH cycle, maybe a Food Processor or Stand Mixer would better meet your needs and be more versatile with their other functions you might use. You can knead bread in both a food processor or stand mixer.
