Recipe: 24-Hour Cole Slaw

I found two cole slaw salads, but they don't say anything about putting a weight on them.
24-HOUR COLE SLAW
1 large head cabbage, cut up
2 large onions, cut up
1 c. Wesson oil
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
Bring oil, sugar, vinegar, celery seed, mustard and salt
to a boil. Pour over cabbage and onions. Put in refrigerator
for 24 hours.

24-HOUR COLE SLAW
1 medium cabbage, shredded
fine
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 green pepper, chopped fine
6 stuffed green olives, sliced
3/4 c. cider vinegar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. celery seed
dash or 2 of black pepper
1/4 c. honey
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. prepared mustard
Mix together the cabbage, onion, green pepper and
olives. In small saucepan, bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes
the vinegar, oil, celery seed, honey, mustard, pepper and salt.
Pour over cabbage mixture. Stir and refrigerate at least 24
hours.
