Recipe: 4 White (Mayonnaise) BBQ Sauces

Misc.
hi! i live in vidalia -- just down the road from Glenville and up the road from Baxley. here are 4 recipes for mayo-based bbq sauces. hope one is close to the one you're looking for.

WHITE BARBEQUE SAUCE
1 pt. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. salt
6 tbsp. lemon juice
6 tbsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. sugar
Mix all together until smooth. Ideal for chicken, pork chops or ribs. Good on chicken cooked on the grill.

BARBEQUE SAUCE
2 lg. bottles catsup
3 lg. onions
1 lb. margarine
1 qt. salad dressing (not mayonnaise)
1 lg. bottle Worcestershire sauce
3/4 qt. white vinegar
1 sm. bottle wine vinegar
3 tbsp. mustard
1 c. sugar
Put onions through food grinder. Melt margarine in large pot, brown onions in margarine, careful to stir to prevent onions from burning. Add salad dressing, stir to get as many lumps out as possible. Add Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar, and wine vinegar. Stir mustard in, add sugar. This should make about a gallon of barbeque sauce.

HOME STYLE BARBEQUE SAUCE
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. catsup
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. prepared mustard
1/4 c. firmly packed brown
sugar or dark Karo syrup
1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce

WHITE BARBEQUE SAUCE FOR CHICKEN
1 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. white vinegar
Juice of 3 lemons (or use Real Lemon
eq. to same)
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper (add more if
you like lots of pepper)
Mix all ingredients together well. In saucepan heat on low stirring constantly until well blended (wire whip is helpful to mix well). Just heat long enough for mayonnaise to melt and not be too lumpy. Baste chicken breasts (or other parts of chicken, if desired) well. Grill and baste frequently. Some people like sauce to add additional at table. This will do 4 whole boneless chicken breasts.
