Recipe: Amaretto Cream Sauce (Southern Living, 2004)
ToppingsCopeland's recipe is not on the internet. Perhaps this recipe for Amaretto Cream Sauce can be used and adding can be a start. Please let us know how you make out.
AMARETTO CREAM SAUCE
1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar
Additional ingredients not in original recipe: PECANS (not sure how much to add (and whether chopped or whole). - Since I have never had this sauce - please add at pecan amount at your discretion.
Combine amaretto and cornstarch, stirring until smooth.
Cook cream in a heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, just until bubbles appear; gradually stir in amaretto mixture. Bring to a boil over medium heat, and boil, stirring constantly, 30 seconds. Remove from heat; stir in sugar, and let cool completely.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups
