Recipe(tried): Beef Jerky
Misc.Here's one - I like
BEEF JERKY
INGREDIENTS:
2 Lbs 2 Inch Thick Lean Beef (London, Top, Flank - etc)
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce.
1 Tbs Worchestershire Sauce.
1 Tsp Chili Powder.
1/2 Tsp Liquid Smoke.
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder.
1/2 Tsp Lemon Pepper.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Trim all of the fat from the meat.
Cut the meat with the grain into 1/4 inch wide strips.
Mix all remaining ingredients in a large non-metalic bowl.
Stir in the meat strips and cover with the liquid.
Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature, stirring occasionally or refrigerate over-night.
Arrange and keep the meat separate by hanging it on a rack.
Bake all day at 160 - 175 until completely dry.
Store at room temperature in and airtight container.
