Recipe: Bourbon Baked Beans (with coffee and pineapple)
Misc.BOURBON BAKED BEANS
5 cans baked beans (16 oz each)
1/2 cup chili sauce or ketchup
1/2 cup bourbon
1/3 cup strong coffee
1 Tbsp molasses
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (to garnish)
Mix together the beans, chili sauce, bourbon, coffee, molasses and mustard. Let stand for 3 hours.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
Pour bean mixture into a large oven casserole.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in the pineapple and brown sugar; bake another 30 minutes.
Serve the beans garnished with the bacon.
Makes about 15 servings
