Recipe: Brush on Barbecue Butters

Toppings - Assorted
BRUSH ON BARBECUE BUTTERS

Brush on foods (red meats, fish poultry and vegetables) before and during cooking.

Flavor 1/2 cup softened butter with one of the following:

CAJUN (SERVE ON POULTRY):
1/2 tsp. crushed dried oregano
1/8 tsp. crushed dried thyme
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
Dash ground red (cayenne) pepper

LEMON BASIL (SERVE WITH VEGGIES, FISH OR MEAT):
1/2 tsp. lemon peel, finely shredded
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. crushed dried basil

PARMESAN BUTTER (SERVE ON VEGGIES):
1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. chopped fresh parsley

GARLIC BUTTER (SERVE ON VEGGIES AND RED MEAT):
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. paprika

TARRAGON ONION (SERVE ON VEGGIES AND RED MEAT):
2 Tbsp. finely chopped green onion
1/2 tsp. crushed dried tarragon
2 Tbsp. snipped parsley

Makes 1/2 cup
