Recipe: Carob Chip Whole Wheat Flour Cookie

Misc.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.04

Diane, the following is a recipe I found on the net that looks like something I would use. I would actually try to find a way to cut down on the oil. This is the most "whole foods" recipe that I could find. Hope it is what you are looking for.

Title: CAROB CHIP COOKIES #2
Categories: Cookies, Desserts
Yield: 3 Dz
1 1/4 c Whole wheat flour
1/4 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/3 c Butter or oil
1/3 c Honey
1 Egg, beaten
1 ts Vanilla extract
1 c Carob chips
1 c Chopped nuts

Preparation : Sift the dry ingredients together. Cream the butter, honey, egg and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Add the carob chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. If they spread out too much when baking refrigerate the dough before placing on cookie sheet. Walt MM
