WHITE TURNIP FLUFF
1 potato, peeled and diced
1 turnip, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Farina
1 egg
dash of milk or cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook potato and turnip until tender. Drain and mash.
Add sugar, Farina, egg, and a dash of milk. Mix well. Spread in a casserole dish.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Optional: Put cracker crumbs on top and dabs of margarine before baking.
TURNIP BAKE
3 lbs. turnip, cooked and mashed
1 cup milk or cream
1/4 cup flour
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish.
Combine ingredients and place in prepared casserole dish.
Bake for about 30 minutes in a 375 degree F oven until brown on top.
