Menus
Good Afternoon Everyone!

Once again a beautiful cool day in Central Florida and one that begs a good homey soup and home-made bread. Along with that I made a Banana Bread to enjoy with a cup of coffee while watching "Must See TV"!!

Happy Cooking! Gina

Tasty Chicken Soup

serves 8

2 skinless and boneless chicken breasts with a little fat still hanging on
3 large carrots, washed and cut on the diagonal
1 onion slice
1 stalk celery, cut into slices
1/2 t. dried dill
2 whole garlic cloves
1/2 t. black pepper
12 c. water
10 t. Superior Touch Chicken Broth
1 T. McCormick's Soup Greens
1 t. chopped cilantro
1 pkg. Maruchan Ramen Noodles (3. oz.)
Put all the ingredients excpet the noodles into a large soup pot. Bring to a boil, simmer for 1 1/2 hours. After one hour throw in the noodles and save the flavor packet for something else.

Honey Wheat Berry Bread

For bread machine

1 box Krusteaz Bread Machine Mix Honey Wheat Berry
1/2 c. crushed almonds
1/2 c. Ocean Spray dried cranberries

Follow directions on box.

A most delicious bread!

Cold Day Banana Bread

makes 1 loaf

1 3/4 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. veg. oil
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 t. vanillla
handful of almond slices

Combine all the iongredients in a large bowl except the nuts. Blend well til just moistened. Grease and flour a loaf pan, pour in, sprinkle the almonds on top of batter and bake at 325 for 1 hour til bread done or toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

I always double the recipe and freeze one loaf or give it away. It is very good.
