Recipe: White Wine Sangria (not Carrabbas)

WHITE WINE SANGRIA

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
2 medium oranges, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced
3 bottles dry white wine, chilled
3 cups club soda, chilled

In medium pan, combine sugar and water. Add cinnamon stick. Simmer over low heat 5 minutes.

Remove from heat; add fruit to sugar syrup. Cool completely; remove cinnamon stick.

In large nonmetal pitcher, combine 1/2 cup of syrup, 1 cup of fruit, 1 bottle of wine and 1 cup of club soda.

As needed, repeat with remaining ingredients.

Makes 24 servings.
