Recipe(tried): Chinese Mustard Salad

My mother's Chinese Mustard Salad makes a great first course, main course, or side dish. No specific quantities are needed or given here, since Mom always made it to taste.

CHINESE MUSTARD SALAD

Chinese mustard powder
minced garlic
lemon juice or vinegar
sesame oil
sugar
salt
water
Napa cabbage, julienned
vermicelli (mung bean thread), soaked, blanched, and drained
ham, julienned
egg omelette, julienned
celery, julienned
carrot, julienned
bean sprouts, blanched and squeezed of excess water

Mix first seven ingredients until blended. Add remaining ingredients and toss.
