Recipe(tried): Chocolate and Whipped Cream Balls for Steve in MN

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
Steve - I grew up in your neighboring state of Wisconsin, where all of the moms made "Chocolate and Whipped Cream Balls." The recipe is deceptively simple.

CHOCOLATE AND WHIPPED CREAM BALLS

2 pounds sweet milk chocolate (Hershey's candy bars or similar chocolate)
1 cup heavy cream
chopped nuts or shredded coconut

Melt chocolate, stirring constantly over low heat. Set aside.

In large bowl, whip the cream until it holds peaks. Slowly pour melted chocolate into whipped cream, while stirring constantly to blend. Refrigerate for at least one hour until firm.

Roll into one inch balls. Roll balls in shredded coconut or chopped nuts. Keep chocolate balls refrigerated until shortly before serving.
