Recipe(tried): Chow Mein Casserole

Main Dishes - Casseroles
Hi Kelly,
Reading the ingredients you mentioned in your request, I remembered a casserole I made years ago when I had growing teenagers. Perhaps this is close to what you are looking for.

Chow Mein Casserole

1 lb. Hamburg
1 small Onion, chopped
2 stalks Celery, chopped
1/2 c. slivered Almonds (opt)
1 c. cooked Rice
1 can (10.75 oz.) Cream of Celery Soup
1/2 c. water
3 T. Soy Sauce
5 oz. Chow Mein Noodles

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Saute hamburg in a skillet for 5 minutes.
Add onion and celery and cook for 5 minutes more.
In a separate bowl, mix together almonds, rice, soup, water and soy sauce.
Add the beef, onions and celery and combine thoroughly.
Pour into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Top with Chow Mein Noodles.
Bake for 20--25 minutes 'til hot and bubbly.
