Recipe: Cinnamon Cheerios Popcorn Snack, Honey Nutty Snack Mix for Sheila, Michigan

Hi Sheila :-) I found these two recipes on the internet but I don't think that either recipe is quite what you are looking for. Maybe someone else will know the exact recipe and post it. For the time being, maybe these will help. Good luck.

Cinnamon Cheerios Popcorn Snack
Serves/Makes:15 cups
Ready in: 1-2 hrs

8 cups popped Pop Secret, natural flavor microwave popcorn
5 cups Cheerios. cereal
1 cup honey-roasted peanuts
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons margarine or butter (do not use spread or tub products)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Heat oven to 350. Stir together popcorn, cereal, peanuts and raisins in large bowl; set aside. Heat corn syrup, honey, margarine and cinnamon to boiling in 1-quart saucepan; remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Spread in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15-1/2x10-1/2x1 inch. Bake 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spread on waxed paper. Cool 1 hour. Store snack covered with towel.

Honey Nutty Snack Mix
Yield : 10 cups

6 cup Honey nut cheerios
1 cup Salted Spanish peanuts
1 cup Raisins
1 cup Brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup Butter or margarine
1/4 cup Light corn syrup
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
The recipe yield is:
10 Cups

Grease jelly-roll pan, 15x10". Grease large bowl. Mix cereal, peanuts, and raisins in bowl. Heat oven to 250~. Heat brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a 2-qt saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly around edges. Cook uncovered for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Stir in baking soda until foamy and light colored. Pour over cereal mix; stir until mix is coated. Spread evenly in pan. Bake 15 minutes; stir. Let stand about 10 minutes or just until cool. Loosen mix with a metal spatula. Let stand about 30 minutes or until firm. Break into bite-sized pieces.
