Recipe(tried): Coated Cheetos.....Snack!

Misc.

Coated Cheetos
Put 2 bags of traditional Cheetos in a large grocery bag.
Cook in a large sauce pan: 1 stick oleo, 1 C. brown sugar, 1/4 C. Karo (white), dash of salt
Bring this to a good boil: Remove:
Add: 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. This will foam up so be sure sauce pan is large enough.
Pour over the Cheetos in the bag and shake well.
Now pour out the coated Cheetos on a foil lined cookie sheet.
Bake at 250 degrees 30 - 40 minutes.
Loosen and stir the Cheetos often.
Turn onto foil laid out on the counter. Separate pieces to cool.
My bridge club likes this treat to snack on.
