I made a nice crockpot recipe for chicken and rice from the Rival Crock Pot Slow Cooker Recipes Book:
3 cups condensed Cream of Chicken Soup, undiluted (I used low fat soup and 2 cans of soup, 1 can of water)
2 cups uncooked instant rice
1 cup water
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken breast tenders
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/5 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup diced celery
Combine soup, rice and water in slow cooker. Add chicken; sprinkle with remaining ingredients.
Cover; cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.
This turned out pretty good but I was wondering if I could substitute brown rice instead of the instant rice in the recipe. Anyone know? Thanks!
