"I made this with white cake mix, (Duncan Hines) and diet root beer today YUM! I doubt if I will ever make a cake mix again with eggs and oil. The result was very moist, I'm having trouble keeping away from it!" - Micha in AZ
"These were delicious! Add 1 (12 oz) can diet coke to a Betty Crocker Brownie Mix (9x13 size). Do not use the water, oil and eggs. Follow baking directions on the box. Enjoy!" - Jonette McMasters, Akron Ohio
DIET COKE CAKE WITH VARIATIONS
1 box Betty Crocker Devils Food cake mix
10 ounces of Diet Coke (or as needed)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9X13-inches (or larger) baking pan with non-stick spray, and lightly flour.
Mix together cake mix (dry) and Diet Coke, adding more or less Diet Coke to get a nice batter. Spread in prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F until it springs back in the center when touched.
There was some confusion on the WWW board as to the points per slice. So if you are counting points I would do the counts yourself.
Servings: 24 / 2 points or 12 3-4 points (there was some major debate depending on the cake mix used I think.)
Could also use this recipe with other diet sodas/cake mixes for example:
diet ginger ale/strawberry cake mix
diet mountain dew/lemon cake mix
