Recipe(tried): Dried Apple Cake

DRIED APPLE CAKE:

2 Cups dried apples
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups (or more) of flour
2/3 cup baking powder
1 cup raisins
1 cup molasses
1 cup milk
1 tsp soda -level
nutmeg and cinnamon

Soak apples in water long enough to make soft. Then chop them about the size of raisins, and boil them for fifteen minutes in the molasses. Dissolve the soda in a little hot water, and put this in the molasses when cold. Mix in all ingredients, beat well, and pour into cake pans. Bake in moderate oven til tests done.
