Recipe: Tostada Soup (using ground pork or beef, Pace recipe)

1/2 lb ground pork (or ground beef)
1 cup chopped onion
1 (16 oz) can whole tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 cup Pace Picante Sauce
1/4 tsp ground cumin
FOR SERVING, OPTIONAL:
Tortilla or corn chips, coarsely chopped
Shredded cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
Dairy sour cream
Additional Picante Sauce
Brown meat with onion in 3-quart saucepan; drain well.
Drain and chop tomatoes, reserving juice. Add tomatoes and juice to saucepan with beans, tomato sauce, water, picante sauce and cumin. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Ladle into soup bowls. Top with tortilla chips, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and additional picante sauce, as desired.
