Recipe: Eagle River Inn Granola

Breakfast and Brunch
EAGLE RIVER INN GRANOLA

1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 cup bran or wheat germ
2 1/2 cups oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup whole almonds
2/3 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a small saucepan combine melted butter, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon and vanilla. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves.

Stir in the bran or wheat germ; set aside.

In a large bowl combine the oats, sunflower seeds and almonds. Pour the melted mixture over the dry mixture and stir until coated well.

Pour mixture in to a 9 by 13 inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes stirring occasionally. Pour in to a large mixing bowl and cool.

Add raisins and mix well.

Makes about 6 cups
