Recipe(tried): Easy Dirty Rice (crock pot)

EASY DIRTY RICE

1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage
2 cups water
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Brown the sausage in a skillet 6 to 8 minutes over medium high heat, stirring to break up the meat. Drain the fat.

Place the sausage in crock pot. Stir in all the remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours.

Makes 4 servings
