Easy Pepperoni Rolls

I also grew up in West Virginia (Morgantown) and my parents still make pepperoni rolls every time we go back to visit! I'm not a great cook, but I found an easy way to make them! The greatest challenge is to find a 'quality' pepperoni...I usually buy mine when I'm visiting WV.

2 large sticks of pepperoni
2 loaves of frozen bread dough
1/4 cup butter

Preheat over to 325.

Thaw frozen bread dough according to instructions on the package.

Cut each stick of pepperoni into 4 portions (approx. 4-inch long), and then cut each of those into thin strips. You should have about 48 small sticks.

Take a ball of the bread dough and roll it out flat (about 1/4-inch thick) on a well floured surface. Use a pizza cutter to make strips of the dough about 1/2-inch wide. Wrap the dough around a stick of pepperoni by starting at the top and twirling it down. Pinch the end to seal the dough. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and let them rise about 15 minutes before placing them in the oven.

Bake at 325 for 13-15 minutes. Brush the top of the rolls with butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
