Recipe: Pecan Cheese Ball
Appetizers and SnacksPECAN CHEESE BALL
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 tbsp. seasoned salt
2 cups chopped pecans, toasted and divided
Garnishes: pineapple slices, maraschino cherries, fresh parsley sprigs
crackers and/or green and red bell peppers (for serving)
Combine first 5 ingredients, stir in 1 cup pecans. Cover and chill until firm.
Shape mixture into a 5-inch ball; roll in remaining 1 cup pecans. Place cheese ball on a serving platter and garnish, if desired.
Serve with crackers and/or green and red bell peppers (cleaned and cut into bite size squares).
