EASY RICE PUDDING
3 cups water
1 cup uncooked rice (instant is ok)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (note, not evaporated milk)
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 tsp vanilla
Nutmeg
Cook water and rice, (and raisins, if desired). Cook approximately 20 minutes, or until cooked down (or use package directions if using instant rice).
Add sweetened condensed milk, butter and vanilla. Cook until thick, stirring constantly, so as not to burn. Pour in bowl, and add nutmeg to taste.
This recipe is very easy, and very good. My husband asks for it alot.
