Recipe: Hi Melissa, I have my Mom's B.C. Picture cookbook 1950

Misc.

Sweet Dough

Mix together:
2 cups lukewarm milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt

Crumble into mixture:
2 cakes compressed yeast - Stir until dissolved.

Sitr in:
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening

Mix in first with spoon, then with hand:
7 to 71/2 cups sifted Gold Medal flour

Add flour in 2 additions, using the amount necessary to make it easy to handle. Handle and knead according to directions on p. 90.

After 2nd rising, divide dough for desired rolls and coffee cake. Round up, cover and let rest 15 min. so dough is easy to handle.

Shape doughs, let rise until light (15 to 30 min.) and bake according to directions for each type of roll or coffe cake.

Is the Cinnamon coffee cake a yeast or a quick bread? or better yet, let me know which page you are missing that it is on and I can type the right one. Hope this is what you wanted.
