Recipe(tried): Kids in the Kitchen cooking and science

Misc.
I don't know if you need to come up with recipes of things to eat but I just thought I've something else I've done with food, my kids and the kitchen. We make science experiments--like red cabbage indicator for tesing acidity. We cooked milk and lemon juice to collect the cassein wad that looks like plastic. You can also make an indicator with turmeric Things like that. I have many books on the subject and would be happy to write details (would do it now but I'm afraid I way far away from what you want with your request)

We also use mini marshmallows and pretzel sticks to study geometry ( remember vertices and rectangular prisms, etc.) when we're done its snack time.

We also make bird food concoctions and hummingbird food.

Lest everyone thinks I'm a total drudge mom we do cook lots...pizzas, egg burritos, all kinds of pancakes--oat, cornmeal, apple, sourdough,,yeast rolls, egg yolk painted cookies all the usual stuff I guess
Good luck with your project...it sounds very worthwhile:o)
