Recipe(tried): Klondike Pickles (Refrigerator Pickles)

Preserving - Pickles, Relishes
KLONDIKE PICKLES
(we know them as Refrigerator Pickles)

10 medium cucumbers, sliced
5 medium onions, peeled and thinly sliced
4 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar
1/2 cup pickling salt
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp mustard seed
l 1/2 tsp. turmeric

Layer cucumber and onion slices in jars.

Combine sugar, vinegar, salt and seasonings (cold). Stir well and pour over onion/cucumbers to cover.

Refrigerate for 5 days before using. Store in the refrigerator. Really good.
