Recipe: Mediterranean Bean and Sausage Soup

1/2 pound sweet Italian pork sausage, casing removed
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups Prego traditional spaghetti sauce
1 (14.5 oz) can Swanson chicken broth
1 (15 oz) can black or pinto beans, drained
1 (15 oz) can white kidney (cannellini) or red kidney beans, drained
In medium saucepan over medium-high heat, cook sausage, onion and garlic until sausage is browned, stirring to separate meat. Pour off fat.
Add spaghetti sauce and broth. Heat to a boil. Cook over low heat 10 minutes.
Add beans and heat through.
Servings: 4
