Recipe(tried): Mexican Dip - one of many

Misc.

I have many more if you don't like this one. They are all similar.
3 cans refried beans or mashed kidney beans
1 large onion
2 tomatoes
500 grams (1 lb.) sour cream
1 pack taco seasoning
3 hot green peppers
1 small jar salsa
Mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce
Green onion
Saute onion and one tomato in a tsp. oil until golden and then blend to make it like gravy. To this, add beans, salt, taco seasoning and salsa to taste. Add peppers or jalapenos if you want it spicier. Mix together and let cool. Make layers of mix and sour cream in glass dish. Spread cheese, chopped green onion, lettuce and chopped tomato on top. Put in oven for a few mins. to let cheese melt before serving.
Variations: cream cheese instead of sour cream; layer of black olives or guacamole (avocado dip) etc.
