Recipe: Mexican Lasagna

Linette, this is good, hope you try it.
1 lb ground beef
4 8" flour tortillas
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 15oz can tomato sauce
1 2oz pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 4 oz can chopped green chilis, drained and divided
6 oz avocado dip
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
Fry tortillas individually in 1/4 inch hot oil about 5 seconds each side. Drain and set aside. Brown ground beef; drain and set aside. Combine tomato sauce and taco seasoning. Mix in medium saucepan; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes uncovered. Remove from heat; reserve 1/2cup. Add beef and half of chilis to remaing sauce mixture. Place a tortilla and half of meat mixture in greased 8 inch round cakepan. Layer with a tortilla, avacado dip, 1/2 cup cheese and remaining chilis. Top with a tortilla, remaing meat sauce, remaining tortilla and 1/2cup reserved sauce. bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
