Recipe(tried): Mushroom/Crescent Puffs

Misc.

Great to assemble ahead and bake as needed.

Ingredients:
2 packages of Cresent Dinner Rolls
1 8-oz package Cream Cheese, softened
1 4-oz can mushrooms, drained and chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Topping:
1 large beaten egg
2 Tablespoons poppy seeds

Unroll cresent roll dough and press together at perforations to make one long rectangle of dough. Mix together cheese, mushroms, onions and seasoned salt. Spread over dough. Roll up "jelly-roll" style. Chill thoroughly or even freeze it for a few minutes. It slices best when partially frozen. Slice into 1/2 inch slices. Brush with egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake 375 for 10 minutes.

You can slice them and top them with the egg and poppy seeds a couple hours in advance and store them in the fridge. Pop them in the oven at serving time. Delicious!
